Here's a little bit about me when I'm not sitting in front of dual monitors clicking and typing away.

I also spend time reading technical books and articles, checking out new tech, practicing and playing guitar (though not practicing as much as I'd like to unfortunately), listening to music and eagerly awaiting the next Marvel movie release.

Staying Current

It may sound nerdy, but one of my hobbies is staying current with the tools and tech of my trade. I read as many web design and development related books as possible, subscribe to feeds such as RWD Weekly newsletter and Adobe XD; follow industry leaders on Twitter and have watched several Lynda.com and Pluralsight.com tutorial videos on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AngularJS and others in my "spare time".

Sports & Music

Throughout high school and college, I played basketball, soccer and tennis. Outside of school sports, I taught tennis as a club pro for several years; played basketball in men's leagues; spent a few years fruitlessly (naively may be a better word) trying to master golf; indoor soccer leagues and briefly played for a semi-pro outdoor soccer league. Interestingly however, I can't follow sports on TV.

I've played guitar since I was 17. I've continued playing since then and currently play in a surf music and rock band. My favorite music genres include blues, rock and classical. I find listening to and playing music as therapeutic as it is enjoyable.

Family & Friends

I enjoy speding as much time as possible with my 2 daughters Ariel and Lauren. My immediate family is a close and fun bunch, and most years we take a family vacation to Disney World.

I've also been fortunate to have many friends, several of whom I consider family as well.
