Human Capital Management Application
Requirements
Develop wireframes and design prototypes for Valiant Solutions' Human Capital Management platform. This project insight looks at the "Time and Labor Management" app, specifically the views associated with scheduling resources to a work week. Parameters include days, start time, end time, position (role) and other related data.
Challenges & Solutions
There was no documented user research or persona profiles; Valiant had no experience with UX research methods or processes; a redesign needed to provide a design direction that other applications in the SaaS platform would adopt.
Solving challenges included: working with product manager, level 1 customer support to understand the most common and/or critical tasks users require support for, and documenting all user journeys for these tasks; recommending and documenting user research methods and processes; developing UX research tests and participants; working directly with users throughout UX research testing and concept validation; internally socialization and education regarding UI/UX design in general, user centered design; UX research, and other areas.
